Overview

Annie's Cafe Riverside has quickly become a bright spot for breakfast lovers in Riverside, California. Nestled conveniently at 6225 Valley Springs Parkway, this new addition takes over the spacious location formerly home to Hooter's, offering an open and welcoming environment perfect for morning gatherings.

The menu at Annie's is both extensive and thoughtfully curated, focusing on breakfast favorites with a twist. Highlight dishes like the Hobo Skillet – a generous mix of scrambled eggs with potatoes, bacon, ham, and sausage – showcase a hearty approach to classic morning fare. Meanwhile, the Monte Cristo has earned particular praise, being described by first-time visitors as the best in the area, a must-try for anyone stopping by.

What truly sets Annie’s apart is the engaging atmosphere created by its staff. Guests often mention the lively energy, with servers breaking into dance numbers to popular tunes, providing a unique and memorable experience alongside satisfying food. This playful spirit makes the cafe ideal for families, groups of friends, and anyone seeking more than just a meal.

Service generally impresses, despite some initial hiccups common to new restaurants finding their rhythm. Attentive staff greet patrons warmly and manage busy mornings with good humor, contributing to a positive and relaxed dining vibe. The large, open layout adds comfort and space, making every visit feel unhurried and enjoyable.

With its combination of generous portions, fresh ingredients, and a fun, spirited ambiance, Annie's Cafe Riverside targets a broad audience — from seniors appreciating traditional breakfasts with a side of nostalgia, to younger crowds attracted by the lively service and contemporary twists on familiar dishes. In a locale bridging Riverside and Moreno Valley, it fills a niche for those craving hearty, well-prepared morning meals in a vibrant setting.

In sum, Annie’s stands as a new culinary landmark for Riverside mornings. Whether you’re craving classic pancakes, a robust omelette, or an innovative sandwich, this cafe blends quality, comfort, and charm into an inviting breakfast destination worth your time.

Annie’s Cafe is the newest restaurant to open in southeast Riverside on Valley Springs Parkway - just east of the 215 freeway and south of the 60 freeway (bordering Riverside and Moreno Valley). It is located in the building that used to occupy Hooter’s so the layout is very spacious and open. I came out here for breakfast with a small group. We were greeted at the door and immediately shown to our table. Annie’s Cafe has an extensive menu offering not just breakfast items but also brunch and lunch items. For breakfast, I ordered a Hobo Skillet, which has a little bit of everything mixed with scrambled eggs. It came with a side of biscuits. My skillet was a little heavy on the potatoes and too easy on the bacon, ham and sausage. I wish it were a little more balanced. I ordered a Coffee Cake to go and it was good. The atmosphere was lively for a Saturday morning and we were entertained by the staff dancing to Justin Timberlake’s “Can’t Stop the Feeling”. I’m not sure if they dance everyday or every weekend or since they recently opened up but it definitely made for a unique experience. The service was okay. They got one of party’s order wrong so she got her food a little later than everyone else’s. And the first server brought out the wrong food items. They must have mixed us up with another table. A little mishap but I’m sure it’s because they’re still working out the new business kinks. Overall, the food was good and we liked the big open space to enjoy our breakfast. I’d like to come back and try their chilaquiles next time,

1st time visiting Annie's. Stopped for breakfast, but something caught my eye. The Monte Cristo, and to my surprise, this is the best Monte Cristo I have had to date. If you love a good Monte Cristo, and in the neighborhood, it's a must stop.

Second time here. Good food and large portions. I do however have one complaint. The orange juice I got, tasted like Sunny Delight. That's not orange juice.

Diners are my weakness! So when this opened up, I had to go try it out. Hooters used to be in this building, so glad a diner came in to take over the place. I went on a weekday and it wasn’t busy so we got seated right away. Our waitress was very nice and attentive! Everything we ordered was delicious! From the chilaquiles to the coffee! I’m so glad that I came and tried this diner! I’ll be coming here often when visiting my fam!
